Xiaomi and Realme have announced the release of their new smartphones based on the recently launched Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset by American chipmaker Qualcomm.

Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi will unveil the Redmi Note 12 Turbo on March 23. This smartphone will feature a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 50-megapixel primary camera, and a 5500mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.

Meanwhile, Realme will release the Realme GT Neo5 SE in April this year. This smartphone will come with a 144Hz AMOLED display, a 50-megapixel primary camera with an additional 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel sensor, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of internal storage. It will run on Android 13 and the Realme UI 4.0 skin.

These smartphones are not the only ones to feature the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset. According to insiders, the upcoming POCO F5 will also be based on the new chipset.

It is worth noting that the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 is a mid-range chipset that boasts improved performance and connectivity features compared to its predecessor. The release of these smartphones will provide consumers with more affordable options that still offer excellent performance.
